President's Day Week!

What a great week to talk about our Presidents!  They loved learning about Abraham Lincoln and thought it was so funny that he would keep important papers under his hat so he wouldn't lose them!

We introduced the Pledge of Allegiance this week.  They look so grown-up!

Valentine's Week and a few from Community Helper Week!

Here are a few pictures from our 1 day of Community Helper week!

These students were cooking up some sight words!  They had to use a spatula like a Chef does to flip over the cookies to find the sight words.  They wrote the words they found on a piece of paper.  We have some potential bakers in our classroom!

We had some pretty amazing "Stars" this week!

Our Valentine party was so much fun!  They loved icing and decorating these delicious cupcakes!

The crafts and games were so much fun!

Here they are making heart shaped bird feeders made out of pipe cleaners, string and cereal.  What a fun treat for the birds!

These friends are decorating their Valentine treat bags.  Wow!  Did they get a lot of special treats!! 

One of the favorite stations was performing the activity on the heart.  We had jumping, hopping and flying little valentines!
