These sweet friends are using their fine motor skills to tear paper to make a penguin. So strong!
How do animals stay warm in the winter? Here we are doing a blubber experiment. Students tried to see what it might be like for an animal with blubber by sticking their hand in a "blubber bag" (ziplocks filled with Crisco) and then putting it in ice water. They discovered their hands were so much warmer in the blubber bag!
Working hard at table top centers!
And playing hard too!
These cuties are playing in "snow!" We mixed baking soda and hair conditioner to make some fun snow to play in!
More fine motor practice!
We love books!
Some cuties building an igloo with toothpicks and marshmallows.
Lacing a snowman
Here we are doing an ice experiment. We tried different objects to see if they would stick or slide down a cookie sheet of ice.
And another ice experiment! These cuties are trying to melt an ice cube with salt and water.
These friends are playing sight word musical chairs. We have learned so many words!
Here we are trying to get the foam nose in the correct position on the snowman.
We're working hard on our last names. Look at these cute name snowmen!
Show and tell for the letters V and L. A few of the things we had today were Laura, lions, leopards, legos and lambs.
We read the book, "What Do Snowmen Do At Night"?" and made our own snowmen. We had some pretty cute ideas on what we think our snowmen could do!
More books! We love reading with friends!
