Arctic Animals

We learned so much about Arctic animals this week!

Animals in playdough!

Reading our color word book.  Such smarties!

Painting polar bears

Graphing animals

Cutting apart and putting back together an animal puzzle

"V" is for vase

Show and tell for the letter "V."  A few of the things we had were vegetables, a vase, vampire, violin, vehicles, videos, a violet crayon, a picture of Vada, and velociraptors!

Here we are doing a few ice experiments!  These cuties are putting their hands in a "blubber mitt" and then in ice to see how their hand doesn't get as cold as it does just in the ice, just like Arctic animals can stay warm.

An experiment to see what slides on ice and what sticks, just like our winter animals!

Here we are putting to use what we learned about penguins and the protective covering on their feathers.  They colored the penguin pictures and we sprayed them with water to see how the water rolls off the penguin.
